Argentina, as the Co-Chair of the Standing Committee on the General Status and Operation of the Convention, introduced this item. The Director of the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining then presented a report on the functioning of the Implementation Support Unit, followed by a few words from the ISU Manager, Kerry Brinkert. As Coordinator of the Sponsorship Programme, the United Kingdom provided an update on the progress of the programme.
