Portugal ratified the Convention on 19 February 1999, and the Convention entered into force for Portugal on 1 August 1999. Stockpile Destruction (Article 4)In its initial transparency report submitted on 1 February 2000, Portugal reported stockpiled anti-personnel mines under its ownership or possession or under its jurisdiction or control. In its transparency report submitted on 1 March 2005, Portugal reported that it had completed the destruction of all stockpiled anti-personnel mines. In total, Portugal reported having destroyed 271,967 mines. |
