Suriname ratified the Convention on 23 May 2002, and the Convention entered into force for Suriname on 1 November 2002. Stockpile Destruction (Article 4)In its initial transparency report submitted on 1 September 2003, Suriname reported stockpiled anti-personnel mines under its ownership or possession or under its jurisdiction or control. In its transparency report submitted on 30 April 2005, Suriname reported that it had completed the destruction of all stockpiled anti-personnel mines. In total, Suriname reported having destroyed 146 mines. |
