Coordinating Committee

Mandate

The Committee coordinates the work flowing from, and related to, formal and informal meetings of the States Parties and fulfils responsibilities related to the accountability of the Implementation Support Unit

Membership

The Coordinating Committee is chaired by the Convention’s President (the Presidency's mandate also includes universalization and stockpile destruction).

Members include the Committee on Article 5 ImplementationCommittee on Cooperative ComplianceCommittee on Victim Assistance, and Committee on the Enhancement of Cooperation and Assistance

The President-Designate and the Sponsorship Programme Coordinator (Australia) are Observer Members of the Committee, as are the United Nations Office for Disarmament (UNODA), the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL) and the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD).
