Tenth Pledging Conference

Japan as Convention President, presided over the Tenth Pledging Conference (10PC) for the Implementation of the Convention on 12 March 2025.

The 10PC was chaired by H.E. Ambassador ICHIKAWA, Tomiko, Permanent Representative of Japan to the Conference on Disarmament and featured a high-level statement from H.E. ERI, Arfiya Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan.

The conference aimed to renew and strengthen commitments to the principles of the Convention and resources for implementation including through pledges of financial support to mine action, the ISU’s work plan, and Sponsorship Programme.

In total, 40 Delegations including 32 States Parties, 2 States not party, and 6 international and non-governmental organisations attended the conference.
