Sixteenth Meeting of the States Parties
Presidency
The 16MSP was presided by H.E. Thomas Hajnoczi, Ambassador of Austria to the United Nations in Geneva. Ambassador Hajnoczi was also among the first diplomats to work towards developing the Convention's Text. Ambassador Hajnoczi was elected at the Fifteenth Meeting of the States Parties in Santiago, Chile on 1 December 2016. Austrian presidency ended at the conclusion of the Sixteenth Meeting of the States Parties.
